About Stefan's Garage

Stefan's Garage is a proud family-run business based in Welwyn Garden City, built on honesty, quality workmanship and a genuine passion for the automotive industry.

My name is Stefan, and I am a qualified Master Technician with over 25 years of professional experience gained across Bulgaria, Germany and England. My passion for vehicles and technology began as a teenager, and ever since then I have dedicated my career to learning, developing my skills and providing customers with the highest standard of vehicle care.

Our Journey

Bulgaria

My automotive career began in Bulgaria, where I specialised in installing vehicle alarms, audio systems, electric windows, central locking and immobiliser systems. As customers came to trust the quality of my work, I naturally expanded into mechanical repairs, building a strong foundation in both vehicle electronics and mechanics.

Germany

Working in Germany gave me invaluable experience with both classic and modern vehicles. I was involved in the restoration of iconic classics, including the 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster (W198 II) and the Cadillac Eldorado, alongside many other German marques. This experience refined my attention to detail and strengthened my appreciation for precision engineering and craftsmanship.

England

Moving to England allowed me to further develop my expertise in a busy professional workshop with more than 12 vehicle ramps. During this time, I gained extensive knowledge of UK industry standards, regulations and diagnostic procedures, progressing to the position of Master Technician before deciding it was time to establish my own independent garage.

Stefan's Garage

Stefan's Garage was established in 2016 in Welwyn Garden City. Building a business from the ground up came with its challenges, but through dedication, hard work and the trust of our loyal customers, we have continued to grow.

As our reputation developed, we moved into a larger workshop where we continue to welcome both returning and new customers. Much of our business comes through recommendations, something we are incredibly proud of and never take for granted.

In 2022, I achieved the IMI Light Vehicle Inspection Technician Accreditation, further demonstrating our commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards.
